ARIA: The Operations Layer

Builder

The layer of Mosaic that keeps everything honest: alerts, tiered routing between rules and AI, circuit breakers, health checks, cost and backup monitoring, and the reports a person actually reads. Consequential actions covered by the gateway wait for approval.

↳ Part of Mosaic — AI Operations Platform

I built the layer that keeps the platform honest.

ARIA is the part of Mosaic that watches everything else. Alerts, schedules and requests arrive from the systems it monitors, each enriched with the context needed to decide. Rules handle the known cases. AI handles the ambiguous ones, behind tiered routing so cheap models do cheap work. Circuit breakers stop runaway behaviour before it spends money or breaks something, and anything consequential pauses at the approval step until a person says yes.

The unglamorous half is the part I trust most: health checks, cost monitors, backup verification and the reports a person actually reads. An operations layer is only useful if you can stop paying attention to it, and you can only stop paying attention when it reliably tells you the truth about what happened, what it cost, and what it refused to do on its own.

Technical scope

  • Intake, rule and AI routing with tiered model selection
  • Circuit breakers, health checks, cost and backup monitoring
  • Human approval before consequential actions; full reporting

Status — Running as part of Mosaic since February 2026.
