Student Engineer
Control systems, electronics, competition robotics and the build habits the rest of this site stands on.

Student engineer, and the start of everything else.
The degree was mechatronics with a robotics specialization, which in practice meant control systems, electronics, mechanical design and software refusing to stay in their separate boxes. Competition robotics was where it became real: machines that had to work on the day, in front of judges, against teams who had slept as little as we had.
The habits formed here are the ones this whole site runs on. Build the real thing rather than the slide about the thing. Measure honestly. Let the failures teach. The robots led, eventually, to production automation; the coursework led to a 320 V traction pack.
