Trading Platform Product and System Development

Product Lead and Developer

Product and systems work on trading platforms across three engagements: product structure and requirements for a crypto trading platform, a backtesting harness for strategy code, and an AI-assisted review of a Python trading system. This is product management and research work. No live returns are claimed and none of it is financial advice.

I led the product side and built the analysis tooling.

This is one program of work that ran across three engagements. The first was product management for a crypto trading platform: I defined the product structure, the user flows, the tier plan and the risk controls, and wrote the requirements the developers built against. The second was a backtesting harness I built for strategy code, which ran a strategy against historical data across several timeframes and reported risk metrics alongside returns, because a return number without its risk context is meaningless. The third was an AI-assisted review of an existing Python trading system, where I audited the data handling, the backtest assumptions and the reporting, and wrote up what needed to change before anyone should trust it.

I want to be clear about what this work is and is not. It is product management, software and research. The backtester tests code against history; it does not predict markets. I make no claims about live trading performance, and none of this is financial advice. The professional value is the same skill shown elsewhere on this site: take a complicated system, understand how it really works, find the weak points, and give the people responsible a clear picture and a plan.

Technical scope

  • Product requirements, user flows and tier planning for a trading platform
  • A multi-timeframe backtesting harness with risk metrics in every report
  • A structured review of an existing Python trading system: data, assumptions, reporting

Status — Product and research work, 2024–2026. No performance claims.
