Student Engineer.
A wind turbine designed and built at student scale: blade profile, rotation, the support structure, and the energy flow from moving air to a generator you could watch charging. At that scale nothing hides. Every inefficiency shows up immediately in the output you measure.
It was my first energy system, and the lesson stuck: energy work rewards people who respect the losses. Years later, the same instinct sized the thermal margins on an EV battery pack. It also taught me to write down what I measured, because a number you did not record is a number you will argue about later.
